Lieto evento

Nel silenzio di una stanza gelida

un vagito irrompe solenne,

un raggio di sole

trafigge discreto l’oscurità.

 

Due braccine fragili

si protendono in alto

quasi a toccare l’immensità

d’un mondo tanto atteso.

 

Il buio svanisce,

mentre una luce soffusa

illumina di celestiale

quei volti complici dell’evento.

 

Di candido merletto avvolto,

sul seno, ora riposa,

di colei che con una lacrima

bagna il suo fiore appena sbocciato.

In the silence of a freezing room

a wail solemnly breaks out,

a sunbeam

discreetly pierces the darkness.

 

Two fragile little arms

outstretched upwards

almost touching the immensity

of a long-awaited world.

 

The darkness fades,

while a soft light

illuminates those faces which are accomplices

of the event with a celestial glow.

 

Wrapped in spotless lace,

he now rests on the breast

of the one who bathes her just opened flower

with a tear.
